Off-Season Work at Luna Park

Annual Cyclone Track Work
In early January, Luna Park started its annual maintenance on the Cyclone Roller Coaster. We're all bundled up, preparing for 2013.

On the Cyclone, we're repairing 480 feet of track (second drop through the third drop). Due to Hurricane Sandy, we have also had to recondition the motors. Luckily, the Cyclone survived the hurricane intact - an accelerometer test on the Cyclone showed that the coaster had not shifted in the storm. The Cyclone Roller Coaster will open in March of 2013.

Other rides are wrapped up for the winter. Below is a picture of the cars from the Steeplechase coaster.

We're planning a great 2013 season for you - with three new rides!
